ILWU Locals 63, 13, and 94 will hold Stop Work Membership Meetings on Thursday, January 9. Local 63’s Stop Work Membership Meeting will convene at the normally-scheduled time of 6:00 p.m.

*Elected Dispatcher. Per Article IV, Section 2.G., “If more than two Dispatchers receive the highest number of votes cast for Convention and/or Caucus Delegate, only the two Dispatchers receiving the highest number of votes cast for Convention and/or Caucus Delegate shall be elected.”
**Elected President. Per Article III Section 13.A., the Local 63 elected President shall serve as one of the Convention and/or Caucus delegates.
***Elected Business Agents. Per Article III, Section 13 C., the Local 63 elected Business Agents (Patrolmen) shall not be delegates to Conventions and/or Caucuses during their respective terms.
Monday, December 2 – Local 63 Election Day
Official ballots shall be mailed out no later than Friday, November 8th. Section 2.H of the Local 63 Constitution states only active dues paying members in good standing, as defined in Section 2.K shall be eligible to vote on ballots prepared by the Titled Officers on behalf of the Local and/or various units within the Local. In order to be considered in good standing per our Constitution, you must have dues paid up to the current month and owe no more than $100 in fines and assessments. Therefore, to be eligible to receive a ballot from the Business Office, a member must be in good standing with the Local. If you have not received a ballot, it is most likely due to the fact that you are not in good standing, so please check with the Business Office. For members requesting a replacement ballot, call the Business Office at: (310) 521-6363, or email to: staff@ilwu63.net by Monday, November 25th. Ballots must be received at Local 63’s P.O. Box or in the designated ballot box located in the Local 63 Business Office by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2nd, in order to be counted. Ballots shall be counted by the Local 63 Balloting Committee in accordance with the Local 63 election policy, rules and procedures with results posted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2nd.

Nominations are now open for the offices and committees of President/BA; Vice President/BA; Night Business Agent; Dispatcher (4); Sergeant-at-Arms; Labor Relations Committeeman; Executive Board (11); Grievance Committee (20); Promotions Committee (6); Board of Trustees (3); and Caucus/Convention Delegate (10).
Any member desiring to be a candidate for any of the listed offices and committees must secure a nomination form(s) from the Local 63 Business Office in person.
The deadline to return your completed nomination form(s) to the Local 63 Business Office is Friday, November 1 @ 5:00 p.m.
