Nominations are now open for the offices and committees of President/BA; Vice President/BA; Night Business Agent; Dispatcher (4); Sergeant-at-Arms; Labor Relations Committeeman; Executive Board (11); Grievance Committee (20); Promotions Committee (6); Board of Trustees (3); and Caucus/Convention Delegate (10).

Any member desiring to be a candidate for any of the listed offices and committees must secure a nomination form(s) from the Local 63 Business Office in person.

The deadline to return your completed nomination form(s) to the Local 63 Business Office is Friday, November 1 @ 5:00 p.m.

Hearts Respond After School Program – Tamiko Love, ILWU-PMA ADRP representative, is letting the ILWU Locals know about a new after-school program called “Hearts Respond” for Middle and High School students who will receive support with homework, tutoring, and other educational programming.  Additionally, the program is seeking tutors in math, science, and language classes.  For detailed information about the program and the non-profit sponsoring the program, please visit www.freedomcommunity.com/

On May 15, 2024, the ILWU Pensioners convened its 22nd Annual Longshore Memorial Event recognizing and appreciating the sacrifices of those who gave their lives during the 1934 strike.

Local 63 June Election Ballots have now been mailed out.

Per Article IV, Section 2.H of the Local 63 Constitution, only active dues paying members in good standing, as defined in Section 2.K shall be eligible to vote on ballots prepared by the Titled Officers on behalf of the Local and/or various units within the Local.  In order to be considered in good standing per our Constitution, you must have dues paid up to the current month and owe no more than $100 in fines and assessments.  Therefore, to be eligible to receive a ballot from the Business Office, a member must be in good standing with the Local. 

If you do not receive a ballot, it is most likely due to the fact that you are not in good standing, so please check with the Local Business Office.  The deadline for members to pay their outstanding balances to the Business Office is on Friday, May 31st by 5:00 p.m. to be eligible to vote.  All ballots must be received at Local 63’s P.O. Box or Local 63’s Business Office Ballot Box in the upstairs lobby by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3rd in order to be counted.
