On August 21, 2025, Local 63 went to arbitration on a technology-based jurisdictional dispute at APMT Pier 400. At the arbitration, Local 63 maintained that the applying and removing of yard planning group codes, including “Peel Off” “MOUNT”, “Maersk Accelerate”, and “HOT1”, were integral to the execution of the flow of cargo, and therefore, must be assigned to Marine Clerks. Local 63 prevailed. The work shall be assigned to Marine Clerks and appropriate lost work opportunity claims will be paid.
