See below CalTrans Press Release concerning Vincent Thomas Bridge closures that will commence on the evening of Wednesday, November 5th at 7:00 p.m. and conclude on Thursday, November 6th at 6:00 a.m.

  UPDATE: Overnight Closures of Vincent Thomas Bridge for Roadway Repairs
A full southbound closure will occur on November 5
San Pedro —Caltrans announces an updated schedule for multiple overnight closures of the Vincent Thomas Bridge, beginning the evening of Wednesday, November 5, for finger joint repairs.

The following closures of the Vincent Thomas Bridge will occur from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the dates listed below: Wednesday, November 5: Full southbound closure between Ferry St. and Harbor Blvd. Thursday, November 6: Northbound Lane closure between Harbor Blvd and Ferry St. One lane will remain open for motorists. The full southbound closure, originally scheduled for Friday, November 7, will no longer take place due to holiday work restrictions.

During the full southbound closure on Wednesday night, traffic will be diverted from southbound (SR-47) to westbound State Route 1/Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1).

Due to weather or operational reasons, the schedule is subject to change, including the times and dates, the number of closures, and other details. Motorists should expect delays when utilizing the Vincent Thomas Bridge and use Caltrans Quickmap to review current traffic conditions before traveling. Caltrans reminds drivers to exercise increased caution near the closure and Slow for the Cone Zone.
