In this latest arbitration decision at Fenix Marine Services, the Employers maintained that the Union violated steady posting procedures outlined in Arbitration Award SCAA-0023-1997 by preventing a 25% qualified member from beginning steady employment as a 30% Rail Planner when qualified 30% members had applied and were not given first preference by the employers.

The Arbitration Panel ruled in favor of the Union ruling that the Officers of Local 63 did not violate the posting procedures outlined in Arbitration Award SCAA-0023-1997 when they blocked the member from beginning steady employment at Fenix Marine Services as outlined in EC-224-2018.
